What is your child’s relationship like with his/her siblings?

Fair. Gets along with siblings but just now starting to be assertive with them. Play’s with them but looses interest easily.

What does your family do for fun?

Camping, game nights, movies and spending time in our backyard swimming

Tell us about the biggest hardship your family faces.

Foster baby right now. Disabled son with Hydrocephalus and seizures, our other son with 16p11.2 duplication. Are all constants in our daily life.

What about your child puts a smile on your face?

Difficult to understand our child with 16p11.2 Therefore we smile when he is witty.

What motivates you to participate in research?

Anything to help us better understand our child.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone recently diagnosed with the genetic change in your family, what would it be?

It’s difficult!
